A pointless post, but I was just thinking today, after the success of the weekend, how proud I am of Genie. She's come on so much in the last 2 years.

Her flatwork has gone from this...

I am so proud of how much she's improved. I love my pony! :D

mb - She didn't used to be! She had (and still has) a WICKED run out in her! She would get to the point of picking up her front legs to jump, and just swing out. WITCH. Fortunately she doesn't do it so much now!

Wow - what a change. Well done both of you. What happened this weekend - did you add to your 5 wins in a row?

Still smile when I think of the Leyland Ct drop inwater - front feet in, pause, back feet in!

We got 67.5% and 70% out at dressage! :D Our best results EVER.

That was absolutely hilarious.... such a shame you didn't get a photo! And after she'd previously LAUNCHED in it was the complete opposite! :D

Thankyou!!

Dubsie - You saying that has made my day! :D Trendybraincell is coming to have a play on her on Weds... I'm very glad she doesn't have her own transport or I might lose my girl!

Thank you!

Frances - yes we have worked hard! She's not the easiest of horses (VERY strong - we say she's 'enthusiastic'!), so to get a sane and sensible dressage test means the world.

Well done Fi. You know I would bring her over that bridge like a shot if my yard allowed mares. I still think you should DNA test her and register her. She'd definitely hold her own in registered classes.

aa - She's not going back over the bridge! With the DNA testing it's the cost of it... she is beating the county horses easily at local level, but proper county would be another kettle of fish! She will, however, be over the bridge in September for showing!

What a credit to you! You have a right to be a proud mum as she has clearly come a long way and I'm sure you'll both continue to improve. She is lovely!
