I took Gizmo, my mini Jack Russell with Pets As Therapy, to a family open day at Gateshead Stadium. It is always a big event, with lots of kids and families, including many with special needs.
He was a total star all day, he had lots of them all crowned round patting him, as he was the only small dog there and he was great with them. Kept everyone entertained bouncing about wanting to say hello, stood like rock for the kids who were frightened of dogs and lay flat out on the knees of all the kids in wheel chairs.
It just makes me proud of how far he has come since we got him, when he was very poorly, totally unsocialised and used to bite. So its official, Gizmo is a star
