My Pony Club did a ODE the other day and they did it as a real competion so we would know what it was like at a proper ODE!!
So started off with Dressage didn't go to bad, ground was very un-level so including my boy all horses were slipping and sliding! Then the skies opened
chucked it down with heavy rain, and i mean heavy rain 
so went on to XC used showjumps made into XC jumps, tires, rustic fences etc and got a clear 
then moved onto SJ by this time ground very very slippy so took SJ very steady, got a clear in the SJ, over the moon with him!!
Then after we had all finished, horses covered in mud and riders looking liked drown rats, we went back to trailers, sorted horses out and loaded them into trailer got them comfy then went off to lunch. Had lunch then we had a prize giving. So each group was read out from last place to 1st place! So now my group read out, 9th.. 8th...,7th...,6th..., 5th...4th...,3rd...,2nd... and 1st... Then next thing i heard was i was in 1st place was ME!!
i couldn't believe it, i was over the moon with my boy and couldn't believe we came 1st.
I was such a proud mummy and he had the next day chilling out in the field feeling a very proud boy.
