After a long long time (due to injury etc), I am finally getting somewhere with my youngster. Ive had him since July but havent done much with him. Over the past few weeks we have started his training. This week we have lunged him in a saddle (previously just roller and side reins) and today my instructor lunged him with saddle and side reins together for the first time.

I normally work him after work in the dark so I never have a chance to take a pic but my instructor captured this magic moment today and I am so proud of him. Yesterday he was so calm and working so well I burst into tears *goes red with embarrisment*

This weekend I am taking him out in the lorry to a friends yard to get him used to going out and about before the show season. I cant wait, it feels like I am finally moving forward.

Sorry for the self indulgent post but hey!!!!

Hi

I will be showing him in youngstock and coloureds. See how well he does then show him BPSA/CHAPS if he is good enough. He has not got the best conformation and is not evenly marked both sides so I will have to see, but I just want to get him out locally so the experience. He may do well potential competition horse and riding horse, but I need to see how he develops.

I cant wait!!! Thank you for all your nice comments.

Emma
