Pointless thread really, but I had to share. Lately I haven't been riding Ruby, I found out shes a year younger then I thought (Just turned 6) and still very green. I've been really concentrating on Lungeing and she has had 2 sessions now with side reins to help her build some muscle, she is finally starting to behave on the lunge *touch's wood* Enjoying her in hand walks and put on some weight.
So yesterday I decided to ride, after what feels like ages, I was a little nervous. We set out on a lovely hack and she was amazing, it was a new route to her, very windy and raining, out with a spooky Horse and she powered on through and was even leading the other Horse at one point as he wouldn't go past a bush hehe. We had a lovely trot up the hill and she was so sensible and level headed even though we were side by side with the other Horse.
I am so so proud of her and really think that this is the start of a great bond. For anyone interested there are some pictures in my albulm, sorry we both look like drowned rats though haha.
