I don't normally post, i'm more of a browser but I'm so proud of my boy tonight I wanted to share it. I bought him in May as a happy hacker for some light relief from breaking in my youngster. He was fab to ride out but his schooling was 'interesting' - he didn't bend, especially on the left rein, couldn't canter on the correct leg on the left rein and galloped flat out at jumps, crashing through them. Tonight, he bent beautifully on both reins, cantered on the correct leg every time and left every fence standing with a steady approach! I know it probably doesn't sound much but he's come along so much I'm super proud of him and Needless to say - he isn't just my happy hacker anymore - show time for us next year :) xx

Hi,

MEE TOOO :D:D

I am also the proud owner of a 'Happy Hacker' - Although my boy has shown a talent for dressage - despite being told he'd never been trained for it - he's a natural.

He too was dreadful in the school - the dressage work was to help give his brain something to think about. And jump work begins in spring - more for me than for him - he loves to jump.

He's still not perfect - I've only had him since Jan 2012 - he still tanks off on occasion.

And we'll be entering small shows this year too :D:D:D.

Do I need to be logged in on a PC to upload a piccie? Rainbow Dash what breed is your boy? He sounds just like mine who is a Welsh Sec D x! Although mine doesn't have quite the talent for dressage as yours - we can leg yield now and shoulder in which is about it :) he's so much fun though xx
