I walk pup around our yard with friend who has little girl of nearly 2 years.They both adore each other and have great bond they play at yard all the time.My pup who is 7 mths is very aware of horses as he was chased,I dont have problem with this as he keeps away and is safe.There is one particular horse that thunders down her paddock and comes straight at dogs which she did today.Normally axel hides comes to heel or runs ahead to get out of her way but he must have decided that friends daughter was in danger and ran back stood in front of her and barked.He was terrified but protected toddler.It was different type of bark a warning not playful brave boy
We were so surprised it was really touching

If I lead Paddy or Nelson somewhere and Millie is with me and one of them misbehaves so I have to shout at them, Millie runs back towards me snarling - she's usually up the front out the way because she doesn't like horses having been stood on. And it's usually Paddy the younger one lol
