I'm so super proud of my mums old horse today!!

This time last year he was quite lame and the vet diagnosed him with severse DDFT damage, said the best thing was to PTS. Thank goodness we didn't follow his advise.. He was never scanned and has had a rest..

This is him today with my novice friend doing a little showing class, I think he looks fab and has plenty of life left!!

Why not take the vets advice or scan? Not that im questioning his health .. he looks amazing but curious please :)
 
He's my mums horse not mine. She hasn't got him insured for some crazy reason and the MRI he would need is over £1k.

She just felt that he was still eating and good in himself so it was worth giving him a few more months, just to see. The vet said he would never get any better. He started getting better sraight away!

As for the scan, he's had 6 months rest and is only ridden lightly. He's 18 so she's happy to completely retire for him if he goes lame again.
