Well, B says that lunging is GREAT if there are jumps to jump!!! Just jumped her a little, not a lot, as it's the first time I have jumped her in-hand or otherwise! Before anyone starts, she is getting fairly fit now, as she is longreined almost daily out on the tracks - have no idea how many miles we do, but I do know that my jeans are baggier!!

Anyway, she just sailed over 3ft 9ins with about a foot to spare and she did it with ease!!! She really enjoyed it too!! I do love my pony, even if she is 16.2hh and too big to be called a pony

when do you intend to sit on her ??
are you staying at the livery yard you are at ,did you find one you liked in the end??

Still at the same livery yard, though I need to find one closer to NM eventually, she may be going to stay with a friend for a wee while. I really like this yard, just can't get used to the flatness of the area! MEEEE sit on her - you MUST be mad!!! a) I'll squish her and b) I'll squash her and c) I'll flatten her and d) I don't ride well enough - esp. not having been in the saddle since Tops was PTS last summer!

You will not squish her you divvy!!! YOU know my feelings on that subject. If I can ride a 15hh ponio that is 3/4 TB with not a lot of bone at all, for years and years with no problems at all, you'd be fine with her.

Especially with the baggy jeans... just remember a belt, can't have you dropping your trolleys on a walk around the countryside, you might startle people!!

LMAO - I have a very trusty belt - though I did loose it one night last week! I was late for work and I just didn't have time to look for it (how the hell you can loose things in a 1 bedroom flat, with most things in boxes ready to move again i don't know). I HAD to plait some baler twine at work to make a makeshift belt, as I was in serious danger of loosing them altogether!!

Stirrup leathers are just about perfect BTW! The evil one has been known to use one in an emergency!!!

Doesn't help with my work trousers though - no belt loops!!!!
