Just wanted to share this with you all. The first photo was my mares first time in the school as a just backed 4 year old, upside down and weak. The second one taken last week.

I bought her unseen from Ireland, did a ton of ground work and backed her myself. She is rising 6 now. Majority of her work was hacking, but just started to have monthly lessons and she’s really coming on.





Anyone training or backing a youngster, it’s a long road but so worth it!

Wonderful! I’m training my own and I agree, it’s a slow process but it is totally worth it!

That made me laugh, never thought of it as neck complimentary! I just use a solo comb and rake if it gets too thick, pulling is a no go!
