I got 2!
1) me being completely a novice, I was so excited when I come 4th out of 30 in my dressage test :O! My first one too! It was on a riding school horse but my horse is to thank as she has taught me to ride!

2)I took my horse hunni to our first xc this year!(about 6 months After I had her) and had an amazing gallop! She looked after me so well and even stood for me when all the other horses took off!( that's another story!)
Needless to say I'd never get rid of hunni <3

I rode again! Reg's lovely owner let me ride another of her horses, and he was amazingly cool. And we did a 65cm SJ class and came 5th out of a lot more than 5, and he was a lad all day and I enjoyed it.

Best of all, I realised I can still just about manage a reasonable position on a horse!!

Mine was a huge milestone for me! About 3 years ago I had a nasty fall when cantering with two other people. Since then I had only got the courage to canter in company about twice, and not at all the last two years. I took a friend out hacking, to show her the routes when she moved to our yard. With her encouragement, I managed a tiny canter with her and her horse behind me! Especially good as we were heading for home and my boy felt quite forward going!

My boy didn't put a foot wrong, and carried me quietly and gently :) So that was my first canter with anyone else in about 2 years! Thank you my darling Sidders :)

My 10yr old broke his pelvis at the end of 2010 so spent much of this year on box rest and then very boring minimal turnout and walking out. He was lame on and off but is now the fittest he's ever been, you'd never know it happened. Double hard fella, so proud.

My was definitely the birth of my first home bred foal Bobby this year. He is a bit of a miracle foal as it took 7 attempts for my mare to take and then we found out she had cushings half way through the pregnancy. She developed laminitis and we had to medicate with pergoilde not knowing the affect on the foal. The medication worked brilliantly and she was sound for the remainder of the pregnancy. Due date came and no signs.... it was the most stressful time waiting for her to foal. When she finally did 3 weeks later it was a red bag pregnancy and the colt had to be pulled out. Thankfully he was in the safe hands of the staff at twemlows and they managed to deliver him safely! I got the phone call of his birth on my birthday! couldnt of been happier, the best birthday present ever.

He he is 3 days old...

This is Bobby competing at the National foal of the yr show at 7months. He was very well behaved being away from home on his own for the first time. Hes such a character and doing very well, my mare has now retired and her cushings is well managed! Very thankful to her!

Buying this skinny, stubborn, ugly duckling in Feb....

... and turning him into a beautiful forward-going swan, just with kindness.... and restoring my flagging riding confidence along the way too.

Oh... and a spur of the moment halloween dressing up at the yard. Seeing how my 2yo coped with a sheet.... very well, was the answer!!!

My skinny TB who came to me in a state last winter (very skinny) hasn't dropped a pound this winter and in relatively hard work. Just shows what the right management can do, very proud of the little guy. :)

Knowing my boy trusts me and knows that I would never hurt him - he was mistreated before we got him and he was headshy to the point where he would try to get away from you if you approached him too quickly.

I've had him for 18 months and he's really improved my jumping.
I used to be terrified of anything over 90cms and I managed this in April:

Mine was just the other day - jumped a couple of XC jumps I've been looking at for the past couple of weeks thinking shall I?/shan't I? One was a tyres jump approx 2'6" which we sailed over first time, the second was a roll top which is only 2'3" tall but approx 2'9" wide - I wasn't sure if my mare would realise she had to jump 'wide'. Don't know what I was worried about as she always likes to take off early so is good at long jumps!
Oh and going to 'boot camp' in June for 3 days intensive training - we both came on really well and learnt loads.
