Please indulge me, today I am a super proud horse owner.
My 16 year old thoroughbred Sam, who finished racing due to terrible tendon injuries, is going off on his holidays to Belgium today to play in the Under 21 GB horseball team.
He is being lent out to one of the most lovely girls whose own horse has a foot abscess and I really hope that they have a wonderful time together.
Sam is the most honest, hard working horse around. He isn't built to play horseball at 17.2hh but he tries so, so hard and he absolutely loves it. He was the first horse that I trusted to ride after my accident and we have had a great year together attending the RoR National Champs for dressage, doing the 20 mile Newmarket Heath ride and lots of other things.
I will let you know how they get on
