So I'm amazingly bored at work..

As we are nearing the end of the season, I thought that it might be a good time to reflect on 'Proudest Moments' of the season. The ones that when you think of them, your heart feels like it's going to BURST with pride (yes.. cheese, but you know what I mean). Upload your pics and share your story and we can all burst with pride for you too! Not just eventers/competition.. Anything goes!

So here's mine: Firstly, this little horse I evented successfully in 2009, before he was diagnised with damage to his suspensories. The vets told us to not be too hopeful that he would recover and event again. However, two years later he is as sound as a pound and here he is going XC schooling for the first time in 2 years:

Then, I was given a ride on a horse who's record looked quite shocking.. even with an Olympian aboard (mentioning no names!). Didn't hold out much hope. But here she is WINNING our first event together.. Tres proud moment indeed!

And lastly, my VERY proudest moment.. my boy who I have had since he was four did his first 2* last weekend! We have had three trainers tell us that his brain is 'too far gone' and he's 'stupid' but he was SO super at the weekend and we are now fully qualified for Advanced. So in their faces!:

Looking forward to seeing all yours!! :D

My proudest moment this season was definatly not in our showjumping! we competed last year at 65cm (I know, tiny) and got placed a lot even though fluffy cob is well... a fluffy cob! She thinks she's a showjumper so I'm not going to tell her she's not! so thought this season we should step up to 75cm, which she's very capable of but it wasnt to be, every show we made a silly mistake, some her, some me, such as stopping at a little cross that was the first jump. *shame* then a stop at the only jump I said 'we are NOT stopping at that filler again!' oops. Never mind, always next year..

BUT I also thought I'd give showing a go as it wouldnt tire her out too much for her jumping later and I just fancied something different and we manage to qualify for the championships THEN managed to come SECOND! I was in shock for about a week.. and here we are.. with our PRIZE! (I've never won a prize before...)
