in the hind leg?Has anyone any experiences of this?Good or bad.
How long did it take to heal and for horse to return to work?
Would you take a horse with this on loan- due its last dose of shock wave therapy soon??
Thanks

Personally no I would not take the horse on loan.

Unless it was the tiniest tear in the ligament the horses return to work could be limited.

Hmm, probably not personally if it is still in the treatment period. I would feel differently if he was back in full work and remaining sound.

My horse was diagnosed with this (PSD) about 2 months after I bought him, the damage on the scan was virtually indetectable but he was lame, we initially had 3 x shockwave treatment with box rest and a very slow return to work but after 3/4 months he became lame again and has now had to have surgery (neurectomy and fasciotomy) meaning another period of box rest and slow rehab work with still no guarantee that he will be sound after all this.

Thanks for replies.
I'm presuming return to work work is usual build it up,straight lines sort of thing for a good bit.
Will pass on info -its a friend who is thinking about it.
