How did you do today?
Minstrel's owner rang to tell me he had come 3rd in his section, and the other Narramore horse not done so well with a couple of stops XC..
Very pleased with Min, apparently he did an ok dressage, one down show jumping but clear and within the time XC.. Not bad for a first attempt for such an enormous horse..
(he's the coloured horse on my blog)
Hope you had a successful day too.

home and exhausted!! poor horse must be feeling like me? it was so hot in all ur riding gear! lovely event, initial thoughts y.day was maybe a few too many questions on XC at this level but a nice course. It actualy rode quite nice. I had last SJ down(Gutted) and a run-out at c(skinny after water) re-did all 3 ellimets again as wasnt sure if i had too?? lovely round other than 1 the runout, that will teach me,just assumed B wud do it wivout any probs! I did see a lovely coloured walking around being cooled off.Do ur horses/owners live in kent??

Yes that was probably him, he is fairly distinctive being 17 hh and chesnut and white!
We have four or five we bred in Kent scattered around.
It sounds as if the Xc was influential as Min had sj faults and a 36 dressage, but still came 3rd with a clear XC. growing up on Dartmoor does prepare them for awful ground, our local PC for instance has jumps that are surrounded by huge rocks of granite, the horses learn quickly to think on their feet!
I bet today was hot, a nice cool alcoholic drink with ice is called for I think..(for you not me)
