PSD Ligament Damage - Last Resort (Excuse Title Typo)

Hi all,

My horse went lame in March 2017 snd after months of investigations he has been diagnosed with PSD in both hind legs, he is only 11 and has a lot more to give so we decided to give him the best chance we could and go though with the surgery, which he is having early next year.
Our vet seems optimistic that he will recover nicely and at worst be a pain free companion (which I would be more than happy about) however if things don't go to plan and he is still in pain we will have no other option than to PTS so I have everything crossed that this will work but I still want to do everything I can to give him the best chance.

Has anyone got any similar experiences (good or bad) that they could share?

Or does anyone use any type of products that may help? I've been looking into magnetic therapy as well as ArcEquine- has anyone had any experiences with these products or know if there is something better out there that might be useful?

Thanks for your time
