So it's a Stafford bitch. Please read on. I am well aware of the fact that the rescues are stuffed to capacity and beyond but Leicester Staffie Welfare are trying desperately to find this little girl a home. Unfortunately we only have till Saturday. I do have pictures and if anyone can tell me how I save photos from email onto my iPad I will post them. Pictures are up on FB under staffies with responsible owners.

This is a 2 year old, pretty much breed standard bitch ( so small). She is white with a black patch over one eye, not spayed etc BUT Stafford welfare will pay for this to help this dog out. She lives alone but is good with other dogs. Family are moving into rented accommodation and can't take her with them. They want her to go to a home not into kennels. She is in county Durham and looks to be in very good condition from the pictures I have seen.

This is the information I know. Please do not post nasty comments about the family as I do not know the whole story. My focus is the little dog. Many thanks
 
That is very short notice, do they have means/funds to emergency kennel her (I know you say they don't want to kennel) but they have to be realistic if they need her out this saturday!
I would have no problems adding her to our website and neutering her seen as she is in my area. But they may have to be a little more realistic as to the time limits, esp if they want a quality home and not "any home".

Cayla..thank you..short notice....tell me about it. We only found out a couple of hours ago. Welfare will pay for spaying, vaccinations etc to try to help.

I am going to email welfare now ..your offer of putting her on your website is greatly appreciated. I will come back to you as I do agree with you...
 
No problem, i do know of a very nice kennel and if they have space they will emergency board at a very fair price which will give a little time to help place her whilst she is being neutered etc, i would be happy to carry out home checks etc.

Welfare are waiting to hear from the owners. My FB contacts have found Izzy a rescue space, possible interest from a private home and these kennels. Fingers crossed we resolve this today. Many thanks again Cayla
 
Thank you Cayla..we have managed to find Izzy a new home near where she is now. We have also had a massive response on this and hopefully some other little staffords will now find homes now as well.

As a direct response to that wretched paper quoting that a "staffie TYPE" savaged the little boy, stafford welfare have today taken on trying to rehome a further 10 dogs, all of whom are being given up in direct response to this article. You don't read attacked by a lab type or any other breed ..
