hello again!!!!

i was wondering if i could pick your brains??

i need to look into the costs of public liability and teaching insurance as i am about to embark on renting a yard.....

i dont know what details you need etc - but its going to be a yard of about 15 liveries if that helps???

i was wondering if anyone could give me any rough ideas of costs????

thanks

You could try NFU Mutual. They are very helpful. You can find your local office on their website: http://www.nfumutual.co.uk/

A freind insures her yard and the premium for 12 horses on DIY livery is about £260 for Public Liability cover.

Good luck with your new venture.

Omg! That is a third of what I am paying.

For full livery you will need 'Care, Custody and Control' as well as PL, and further insurance if you want to hold any in house/open shows at your yard. If you employ, even if it is for favours (eg, free livery for help) you will need Employers Liability too.
