Public Liability Insurance help

We have a sharer for our pony who I’m pretty sure has PL insurance. She only hacks but obviously being out on the roads etc the possibility of an ‘incident’ is high.

I also have a friend who hacks out the same pony every now and again but as yet doesn’t have PL so we need to get cover for her.

Do I get cover for the pony & this covers any rider or is the cover based on individual riders ?

* Note : The pony is not covered by insurance, we are self insuring as too many exclusions

Public Liability covers the person. However as the owner, the pony may be covered by your policy. Will need to go look.
