I have mine with KBIS but it is an add-on to catastrophe cover for my horse. Not sure if you can get it as a stand alone policy? Might be worth asking them?

If you have house insurance check it, it is often on the policy. The amount, though, is not usually as much as is recommended for horse owners. Mine is currenly £2m.

This is why I want extra - £2m is nothing if he was to squash someone and cause life changing injury.

I've just checked my house insurance documents and as I understand it Public Liability is covered for domestic dogs and cats only, NOT horses. Any incident involving animals apart from dogs and cats seem to be excluded - I suppose that's not surprising as it is for house and contents! I may have it wrong, but that's how it seems to me from the small print.

My house insurance didn’t cover my daughter’s horse when she lived at home. Horse spooked and bumped a car causing a dent. KBIS paid out but the underwriters tried to counter claim on the house insurance and it was not covered.
