Public liability that covers a sharer?

Does anyone know of a good public liability insurance that covers someone else riding your horse? I used to be with World Horse Welfare, but they've recently changed the policy to exclude cover if someone else is riding your horse unless you're physically present at the time.

When I was sharing, I was always required to get my own public liability insurance.

BHS Gold membership for both owner and sharer. Check with them but last time I looked they covered you providing the sharer is riding with permission and not for hire or reward.

Yes this is correct as both the rider and the owner can have separate liabilities.

As the owner you need to check that they will still cover you as the owner when someone is riding your horse with permission. Most will do so but some have an issue if money is changing hands.

As a sharer you should have public liability for any horse in your care or control.
