Just wondering..would anyone be interested in a foodie /cake style regular/occasional meet up?

I have a cunning plan but need some victims!

Just wondered if a pudding club, curry night or bbq lunch would be of interest to anyone?

Somerset but close to Dorset/Wilts and anyone further afield welcome too esp as it might be bike weather - at some point before Christmas!

I do have a motive:D so it would have to be dog lovers and to begin with only females.(don't worry I am female & safe!)
Dogs wouldn't be invited initially but I'm trying to help my boy learn that guests are a good thing and new people too..so I thought this would be a good idea..and as i don't know many people in this area, 3 hours from home is a bit much to ask people, so thought it might be fun to meet some of you lot..well, some nice people, (no nut jobs please) and my victims would be fed in return..just a small thing to begin with and then if any of you wanted to do regular meet ups, then maybe even progress to terrorizing some local dog friendly pubs with outside seating...polo picnics/beach meet ups (when I've worked out where the beaches are!)

I love food & cooking & baking but there is alway the option of the rather awesome curry house v near me, but I make a mean curry myself...my current speciality being troll tikka massala..you really should try it.

Trolls welcome, but you will be pureed & put on the menu;-)

What does everyone think?

You know me - I'm in!

:D..

and Fools Motto will be able to confirm to you all that she met me & the polar bear in a country layby at Christmas & survived..tho I did make her eat mince pies..so anyone who's worried i might be some funny old bloke, I'm really not..and my couldron is actually just silicon bakeware!:D

I am a bit far but otherwise would be round like a shot. Though not sure I qualify on the no nut jobs front.

well everyone is welcome ..if the first one goes ok & the polar bear(TPB for short) copes ok with some people, I might arrange a little hho party..we could have some yummy troll d'oeuvres, some trollauvents and then bbq'd troll. (worried now incae all hho turn up...but then I guess that would be mildly amusing too..I've never had a chance to upset my neighbours!..well only when TPB & I did Eurovisiony-oke and also the Jubilee Concert, we sang a bit too then but everyone for miles was out for both....I was gutted!

I'll come and join you, it would be good to meet a few other HHOs that live in the area. BBQ would be good if we ever get some suitable weather.

Excellent, feel free to pm anyone who you know is local..I'm thinking curry was good idea as its fairly weather proof!(please God do not make it rain in my kitchen now I've said that!)

I've just seen DobieGirls post in soapbox about chocolate guinness cake..and shes local..would be rude of her not to share it now she's owned up with having the entire thing to herself!!

It wont last that long:D and I had to laugh when I read the recipe and the cake is described as moist given that a lot of people on here dont like that word.:D I bet they would change their minds though after eating a slice.:D

I know I was thinking that..I suspect Nigella knows this and it was used specifically to deter cake thieves:D Daughter welcome too if she happens to feel the need to make any more! I've got the Green & Blacks Chocolate Recipe book, some awesome ideas in there too..apparently:rolleyes:

Id love to if its not too late - Im in Poole, and boyf is in Templecombe, so Shepton fits quite nicely for me to do double visits ;)

willing to bring stuff as well... :)

O my god. That cake is amazing. My boss made it ( on the recommendation of his sister who is on here) for work and it was just the nicest thing!

OP, I live miles away or I would totally come for a curry! Have fun you lot @_

We need to think about when it can fit in with everyones busy lives, a few ideas needed to get going or it will never happen, there are a few of us now so its looking as if it is possible.
Weekend is probably best for most, throw a few dates in for when the OP is back from doing her horses:)

Damn it ur miles away! If u fancy moving to a lincolnshire location i'd love to come. I could recommend some decent estate agents . . . Lol

< TFF rubs hands in anticipation of nosh :D >

Am happy to give someone a lift from my neck of the woods or pick up in passing, as long as dates fit, mileage no problem as should be do-able in 2 to 2.5 hrs (dependant on location)

ps: Not sure I qualify tho as
1. am bonkers :D
& 2. Am outside your area :o

Wish I was local . . . otherwise I'd be in there with my troll-au-vents . . . perhaps we need to start one near me?
