my three year old has a puffy back leg. He was fine on friday and saturday and then yesterday morning I noticed his leg was up. Tried to cold hose it but he wasn't very helpful so slapped some cooling clay on it. He doesn't seem lames, it's puffy on the tendon above his fetlock and around his pastern. It's not huge, he's happy for me to tocuh it and seems to go down in the day. I'm assuming he's twisted it whilst playing with his friend as they are rather rough...any suggestions/advice or ideas?

my mares got the same thing but she's got a cut that just keeps getting infected and then the leg swells up but only when she's in the field?
and after a hack it goes down again and she's not lame.

its driving me crazy!

he might have a tiny cut but I can't see anything. he's out in the field 24/7, always has been, so atleast being able to move around should help any swelling. I would call the vet but he's not in pain
