Just been woken up to the sound of my 5 month old pup puking. He has chucked up his dinner from 4.5hrs ago and since then 3 or 4 piles of fluid. He seems quite apologetic for the mess he has made and is quite bright still. I just wish he hadn't puked on my newly cleaned carpets - I will have to do them again now :(
When should I worry ? Should i make him miss his brekkie just to give his tummy chance to settle ?

If he continues to be sick throughout the next hour I would ring the vet I'm afraid. He may settle now his tum is empty. Yes would starve 24hrs if he stops being sick and then chicken and rice. Make sure he is drinking and keeping water down though.
Hope him and your carpets recover! :) x

I think we are over the worst of it now (hopefully) He is crashed out on the sofa next to me.TBH my house is quite warm tonight and I think he's pukey because he would not settle after his tea.He is like a naughty kid some days and I think he may of just got a tad overexcited playing in the garden. This bit about resting them for an hour after a meal I wish someone would explain to him what that means lol

Sounds positive, my lot are sometimes sick for absolutely no reason at all. If he's not spewed again by morning and still seems normal I wouldnt bother skipping breakfast (but perhaps make it less and dont give it all at once...test him with a teeny bit first and see if he keeps it down) I wish you a peaceful puke free night :D

After my last post he crashed out and slept the rest of the night on the sofa with me. Not the first time I have slept on the sofa with a poorly pooch :)
Much better this morning leaping around like a nutter. So he has had some chicken for brekkie and we will take it from there.
