pull-on over-reach

How on earth are you supposed to get them on? Horsey needs to wear them 24/7 to stop him pulling shoes off and totally messing up his feet, he keeps losing the velcro ones in field, so i bought some pull-on's ......... but after 10mins of pulling, stretching, sweating, swearing ........ i got the farrier to pull 'em on for me (he managed it with ease!)

I put mine in hot water for 5 mins, makes them more pliable.

i bought a pair, and cant get them on at all, so have given up, tried hot water and it didnt work, sorry!

Stretch them about abit to warm them up. Turn them inside out, pick up clean, dry hoof, pull the wide bit over and as the narrow hole just tight - pull! when nearly on ease the rubber over one side and then the other. hoof down and then pull up over the heals. then re-invert them over the hoof.
did any of that make sense? probably not - sorry!

With great difficulty!!!!! i pulled mine on, god knows how, i think it took 3 of us : ) then someone suggested putting them in hot water!!! - dont you just love it when that happens

What Aran said. A little bit of vasaline on the rim can help but too much will be counter productive. I find that wearing pimple palm gloves is very helpful.

Must be a farrier thing.. I get mine on with ease, But i suppose we been trained to hold the leg at maximum support..
