When entering unregistered M&M classes & similar, does the mane need to be pulled? We've got a part bred Dartmoor & at the moment he's got lovely flowing locks! He's in his 1st proper M&M class on Sunday & I'm not sure what sort of length his mane should be? I've asked on numerous forums before & everyone seem's to have different ideas, I just don't want him to look totally out of place.
TIA

If you are showing in M&M and they allow unregistered ponies (many dont!) then you need to leave natural. If pony is registered partbred, i would always pull and plait. Make sure part breds are allowed to enter M&M though, as it's unusual.

For anything else, you'd need to pull and plait. I would prefer unreg or part breds to be pulled and plaited and not shown in M&M classes against ponies that are actually registered though :)

It's unregistered classes, and only local. I've just found out his sire is registered (Merribridge bright boy) but dam (who is Dartmoor) isn't registered, so he is Dartmoor but is only classed as part bred (If that makes sense!) I'm not sure if he's registered part bred, I can't be 100% sure as I haven't got his passport ATM, it's in storage & I can't get to it. So I'll leave it natural?
