Pulled/Raked Tails

The goal of pulling a tail is to make it seem seamless and just flow into the rest of the tail. The images you've posted don't, note how in yours you can see the transition from pulled to normal, but in the pics I posted you can't?
 
Hes not done at the moment but thats how he came to me, his tail is very nice at mo, will try & find a pic to show, but am going to do veteran class an told I need to pull it :eek:
 
Looks nice & not like the pipe cleaner job I got him with, took a year to get it how I have it now, does that seem a long time or fairly good, his mane doesnt grow v quickly or v well at all, yet his tail seems to, dunno why ?
 
It's hard to tell his stamp really from the pics, but could be riding pony or working hunter pony? That's assuming he is actually a pony and that's not just a tall rider!! He looks lovely though :)

I cut my monster's tail :o I think it looks nice though, people seem to think I've pulled it so can't be too bad a job haha!!
