Pulling a mane without being killed!

I must admit I was a bit cautios of using the mane rake for the first time last night. It comes off in quite big lumps so I didn't want to get carried away! Like when my Mum use to cut my fringe when I was younger and she couldn't get it straight so it would get shorter and shorter!

haha you are not alone! my mum has scarred me for life!

One of mine hates having his mane pulled, he won't even let it be back-combed. I either hog it (leave the forelock-he's tb and he'd look silly!) or attack it with scissors. Tried the solocomb, but it was a struggle due to the back-combing issue and I ended up with sticky up bits:rolleyes:

He was bitten by a snake and lost a chunk of skin just in front of where a rug would sit; I found it in the field, complete with hair and mane. The mane hair was about an inch long on the underside:eek: No wonder he hated me pulling it if it went that deep!

I use a solo comb and mane rake..

Did Buds last night actually, always get nice plaits, the trick is to do it little by little and only rake the underside.
