What lisence do you need to have to pull a trailer?

& how do you go about changing your licsence if you can't pull on your current 1?

Depends when you passed your test. If you passed before 1997 you can tow on your car lisence. If you passed after 97 you need to take a trailer test.

You need a category B&E and you get this by sitting a test - look here for all the details about the test and what is in it... www.trailertraining-wales.co.uk
It being a welsh centre makes no odds as the detail on the test is all the same

If you sat your test pre 1998 (specific date) then you already have the right licence and don't need to sit the test.

B+E if you passed your test after 1997. Find local training companies on google close to you. For example I tried J Coates Driver training and they quoted me £770 for an intensive 12 hour course (over 3 days) and a test...but Im looking about cuz that seemed quite expensive to me!!

Lucyfer, not sure where in Leics you are, but I shopped around and found J W Smithurst in Notts, by far the cheapest I found. I had already been towing for a while, so I just did 10 hours training over 2 days, and passed the test first time! Would definately recommend.
