spent most of night trying think name of noseband it's a gloster noseband and I'm not sure if they are still made as I bought mine in the 70's. worked a treat and you can also use it as a bitless bridle for a sore mouth.
 
think ive got one!!! does it kinda act/look like a flash but two straps attach to the bit?rather than go round the mouth?used it for a very strong pony who lets just say LOVED gallopping, worked a treat for a while but then pony new if she put her head on the floor she could avoid it!

Yes it does and you can use a martingale, sounds like you had one pretty savvy pony as my cob went like a dream and after awhile didn't need it anymore that's why it's up in the loft, but it did give me confidence.
 
yea thats it! some old lady gave it to me and said it would work wonders! never ever evan heard or seen it since, and im going back 10 yrs! as i said pony loved galloping! it was a shame she figured how to avoid it as i did have control untill then!!
