Hi, im looking for tips please peeps!!

My eventer is wearing custom made shoes at the mo whilst my farrier does some remedial work on them. The problem is that in work he is cathching the back of them & pulling them off. Hes has got over-reach boots on but i think its when the foot goes into the sand & the boot cannot.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Can you tape them like some of the show jumpers do? I have to say I use over reach boots of a neophrene type and they do seem to work for me.

How do they tape them?

The problem is because the shoe comes right the way around the back of the hoof its easy for him to catch it. I need some better way of keeping it on whilst doing the SJ & XC as im at Henbury on Monday!

My horse does this too, so I would also be very interested in any idea's that would keep them on.

He even pulled a shoe off at cranleigh show 5 mins before going in to the ring

try HERE there are other places that do them but these will give you an idea.

Edited to say they are not tape, but they did work on one I had with eggbars on.
