For the second time in less than 24 hours a thread I posted on has been pulled.

As far as I am aware neither would have breached any legalities. Yes, there was mud slinging, but on both sides.

I can understand why admin would perhaps want to take action to halt a spat, but is deleting the thread really the best answer?

In a lot of cases, there is good and valuable advice given, which is then lost when the thread goes. Could they perhaps be locked, and any offensive posts individually edited/deleted?

I for one find it very frustrating to take time to compose and type a reply, only to find it's vanished as someone has hit the button.

Agree with this 100%, yes the individual spats are probably out of order and can be deleted if needed, but the subject matter isn't something that should be brushed under the carpet. As responsible adults Im sure we are capable of debating/discussing things and at least sharing views can open us up to others opinions and give us food for thought.

Yes it's so annoying when post are pulled! I used to lurk on the 'DogLost' forum and if there were any offensive posts, they were deleted from the thread, but the thread itself remained. Why can't admin do this instead?

Thats Annoying :/
theyll delete posts even if there arent any breaching the terms etc but when i asked countless times for a previous thread of mine to be deleted (it got pretty brutal and im sure everyone can remember it) they refused :/ strange world eh...
