Punchestown - anyone going?

We're there for the IPS show Gold Cup classes on the 19th, anyone thre for the 3de? I have a little shopping to do

We also have the bonus of rider/groom tickets so free entry

My sis lives just up the road so might crash with her on the Friday night and then head on over

Again - prob just the Saturday. Don't know anyone competing this year and no job to do since the whole thing went short format, so no incentive to stay down for weekend.

I'll probably also go for the Gold cup or else go on sunday for IPS, havn't decided yet! Did you go last year? I went to IPS and the weather was unbelievable, it lashed torrential rain all day, I did my first class (which I won!) but then they called off the rest of the IPS after 3 classes as the ground was so wet and deep! Myself, horse and tack got so drenched, it took days for us to dry off! My horse loves the muck though, he was delighted with himself last year ploughing through mud up to his knees, he doesn't go half as well when the ground is hard, he's a true hunter at heart!!

Nope - didn't have an eligible pony last year, though my boss went and they got soaked through and their classes were called off.

Ours is "Walterstown Bob" if you do go - I probably won't be there until mid-afternoon though , bloody uni exams
