Well I took on a very lively untrained excitable lurcher nearly two years ago now. I nearly sent her back we had a rough time with her in the beginning. Really difficult but a lot of training some tears and a huge amount of patience later and I have a sweet companion who I wouldn’t part with for ten million pounds! She tried to please is intelligent and fun. I was the idiot who underestimated the training required. Old humans can learn new tricks too!

She is gorgeous!! Well done for sticking with her!! We bought a fox red pup, she has just turned 2. I lost my jrt at 13yo and we also have a 11 to black lab. The jrt and black lab were the easiest pups ever. House trained themselves, pretty much were recall trained from day one. It was almost like they had been here before!! The fox red was a completely different kettle of fish. The most beautiful looking dog but by god did she test us in everything from the word go! She has just turned 2 and is 3/4 trained gundog. She is the most fabulous cuddly dog but works her socks off when she needs to. Wouldn't be without her now but we did wonder what we had bought!
