Now we will soon have a new Mal puppy but I have a few questions. Q1.We have a set of keenels at the bottom of our garden- There are two of them and basically its originally an 8 x12 shed that had the front taken off and wire put on with a divider down the middle and a 'box' in each kennel (is eveyone still with me?) se each kennel is 6 x 8 and under cover but open at the front. Now when we are at work Tassy lives in her kennel 8am till 4pm 4 days a week. She is in the house at ALL other times including bedtime when she sleeps upstairs at the foot of our bed. When the puppy arrives what is best re-kennelling? The pup will have been brought up in the breeders house- so do we just put his bed in his box? My OH is taking 2 weeks off from the day we pick him up to help start litter training, but we were really unsure how to go about introing the kennel? Ideas please

Q2. should we introduce him to Tassy at the parents' in law' home? I was assuming neutral territory or would it be too stressful for pup to do a 3 hour journey then arrive at a strange house then another strange house- should we just do it in our home but have him in the house before we pick tassy up? again I would gratefully take any advice for a smooth transition.

With a baby puppy I would keep inside for the first few weeks then move outside.
Ours live out (all our dogs have) but have never 'gone' when in the house as they know it isn't a place to go to the loo, if that makes sense.
We always bring youngsters straight home too.

thanks for this, with the intro do you think pup should be in the house first?
