It's autumn, my garden is full of leaves, twigs etc. The pups seem to delight in chewing anything they find! They have plenty of chew bones and toys but apparently nothing beats a good twig! I can't watch them 24/7 outside. Will their garden buffet do them any harm?

I'm a bit of a worry-wort with smaller things like sharp bits of sticks that could become lodged but if you are keeping an eye on them and monitoring them then they should be fine :)

My lurcher once emerged from a wood drooling, retching and pawing at his mouth  I thought the worst but thankfully he had only got a bit of twig stuck across his palatte between his top teeth (drama queen ). I hooked it out and he was none the worse for it but I've never stopped him playing with sticks and he has never done it since

I'm not keen on sticks and have cleared the woodpile of small pieces but they still find bits. I know what you mean about the worrying-major paranoia here! They'd rather have rubbish off the floor than toys. Bear had a period of ripping up grass and eating it-big chunks with soil attached, thankfully now over this as he had loose poo for a while!

I don't think it will do them much harm as long as they aren't swallowing lengths of stick.
