A few weeks ago I posted on here following lack of sleep due to puppy waking in the night thinking it was play time, biting all the time, and using my house as a toilet....... as puppies do!

What a difference a few weeks make. Hugo is now 14 weeks old and an all round smashing lad :)

He now sleeps from 10.30 pm until 7am when he gets up and goes for his walk. He does occasionally wake earlier and cry, but that is not often and he goes out for a quick wee and straight back to bed. He doesn't bite at all now, that stopped a good three weeks or so back and his toilet training is coming along nicely. We try to have the door open as much as possible, and he does go out then, but hasn't learnt to 'ask' if the door is closed, so we keep an eye on him and let him out when he starts sniffing!

He knows 'stay' and is ok on the estate off the lead as he will come when called, but is quite a wimp and legs it for home if he comes across something he hasn't seen before, so he is never, ever off the lead away from home, not even on an open, empty field. He isn't very good at 'sit' yet as he gets too excited at the prospect of a treat of cheese!

For a JRT he is very quiet and calm and unfussy, and is just wonderful :)

Here is my beautiful boy:

First trip to the beach. He loves water so enjoyed running into the sea after stones!

Aw he's adorable! Sounds like he's coming on in leaps and bounds - it's a relief when they get past the mad tiny puppy stage and start to calm down enough to listen! He's a cutie.
