Here are some piccies of Darcy's pups. They're 2 weeks old today. All doing well, even the one we thought we were going to lose because she's so small. Some of them felt like singing:

Yes they're Vizslas but they're the wirecoated ones, which are apparently calmer than the Smooths but not having lived with a smooth I couldn't tell you if that was true or not

Some of them look like they're getting their wirey hair already - I alway assumed they would be just like the smooths until they got a bit older and then the coarse hair would come in later. Both of mine were little wrinklers too when they were pups. Here is Josh when he was about 6 weeks.

I'm the opposite to you in that I've only ever lived with smooths and they are definitely very lively! Most of the wires I've met have seemed more laid back I have to say but its all relative! I'm warming to the idea of a wirey next time though - just for a change.

ann-jen: The coat is weird lol, with some pups the guard hairs come through early, some later and sometimes a coat wont develop at all and other times you get really hairy ones

Saying that though, coat is becoming more uniform.

I'd recommend a wirey - not just because I'm biased but look at the fuzz, to me (no one take offence please) it gives added appeal:

Eleven but one was d.o.a so 10 surviving. 7 dogs 3 bitches - well 2 and 1/3 if you take into account Bridget's size!!
