Not had a puppy for many years. Is it normal when they are young to just randomly be sick?

Not sure if I should be worried or just see how he is.

Thanks - sorry a bit pointless but I am a bit worried about him. Oh and otherwise he is ok (just the one time he has been sick)

Depends what he has been sick with? Is it just white foam? Or his last meal? Or something else? How long since he was last fed/let out? Has he been playing a lot and over exerted himself?

Sorry for all the questions, this isnt really the Spanish Inquisition

Hey Splotchy,

He was sick with his last meal. He was fed a while ago but ate after being sick. Not sure if thats good? He has been out in the garden loads of times today. Oh and he has been running round like a nutter today, he has been one mad dog today so may have exerted himself.

I wouldnt worry too much then

It sounds like he has just overdone it a bit today, then when he ate his tea it just didnt 'sit' right on his stomach?

If he carried on eating after he had been sick then thats a good sign - I would just keep an eye on him (well, I know you are doing that anyway

) and I am sure he will be fine

BTW - more pictures needed please while he is still in his 'sweet CKCS puppy' phase

Will keep an eye on him over night and next few days. He is in vets on Monday anyway if he does it again they can check him over.

Will post some more pics soon. He is flat out fast asleep now.

Hiya,

Not sure I'll be too much help cos we've only had our muttley for just over a month, but she coughs up stuff/throws up quite regularly - including one time in my boyfriends step dads water feature! Shes never had any ill effects. Just think of them like babies! When things dont quite sit right, they just barf it up =] only panic if its blood, or excessively mucusey, or if her stomach hugely expands.

xxxx

Thanks flamehead.

Only had him a week so all new at the moment
