Hello again,
On a few occasions my puppy gets up after sleeping, or resting, holding his left hindleg up, he puts it to the ground, shortly after, and doesn't look lame once he has it on the ground?
Any ideas?
He doesn't yelp, nor it seem to bother him, and being a terrier, is able to that 3 legged hop pretty well already? It is almost like he has pins and needles? Which then wear off!
I do plan on taking him to the vets, but because it has been so sporadic...
I'm sure there are a few on here though that think I am a cruel owner waiting, but if it was more regular, or he was in real discomfort ie yelping and not being a usual exubarent pup then he would be down there like a shot!!

I would check it out sooner rather than later. Also, if you haven't got insurance, you might want to consider it? It could be a crutiate ligament and if it needs to be operated on, it's rather expensive...

I agree, it does sound like it could be a crutiate liagament. Best get it checked out.

My 6mth old JRT was holding up a hind leg, he would stand on it but not walk on it. He wasn't yelping either even when I had a good prod around. We all thought he had just strained or pulled something but after a few days of him not getting any better I took him to vet. Turns out he has broken a toe and is in a splint for 3 weeks.

Problem with terriers is they do the 3 legged hop really quite well so it makes you go (as you have said) hmmm maybe its just that!

but as the other 2 have said, better safe than sorry, even if it is just pins and needles, at least you KNOW its pins and needles! and not a cruciate or anything scary like that. or if it is better sorted now than 2 years down the line when it does start hurting him!

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Thanks guys, I have just gotten him insured so will go to vets anyhow. I do hope it is fixable what ever it is, as would really like to go on and some agility with him!!!
