Puppy lost a tooth today... Question

My great dane puppy lost a tooth today. It was a back one so as I'm more used to kids losing their teeth, I wondered if that's normal. What I mean is, kids always lose the front ones first and the back last. Do they lose all their teeth for adult ones or just some?

I've had 4 off Pip the last month! The order I've noticed is the very dinky front ones first, then the big back ones, then last the canines. Think she's done now!
 
I think it depends on the puppy.

Little Dog lost hers quite quickly and we only ever found a couple so she presumably swallowed the rest. She never really seemed to be in much discomfort with them either.

The whippet pup took ages over it though and we found nearly all of them, usually by standing on them in bare feet :rolleyes: He lost them in a really random order and was quite fussy and whingey while they were coming out.
 
I found my pup had lost one when I found him playing with it he was throwing it around the living room. That was the only one I relised had gone. Have seen the occasional half grown one coming through in his mouth so couldn't really tell you what order. He's stopped chewing now though so hopefully that's it he's 6 months. So im guessing they all come out quite quickly. I'm very glad as one hole in my sofa is enough!!!
 
I've had loads of pups over the years, and it tends to be incisors first, then pre molars/ molars and the last to go seem to be the canines.

My 4 month old bitch has just lost the last puppy canine, and her adult teeth are coming through nicely; her brother still has puppy canines, but a big adult incisor grin :D
