Hey all i got a collie puppy(9 weeks) last night and ive been reading up on few things now ive bought puppy training mats but ive been told not to use them as its hard to get them off them so dunno if i should start using them :( shes from farm so spent all time outside in a barn.

Anyone give me a insight into if there worth it or not?

A big con.

Start as you mean to go on and take the puppy out every hour or after every meal or sleep.
Alternatively use newspapers all over a confined area and then reduce that area.

We've used them in the bottom of our puppy's crate for night time / when we go out incase she needs to go - only been a couple of times when she's used it. We kept putting her out after she woke up / food / when people came over. Not had any negative issue with them.

They are fine as a "guide" to aim is NOT to let the puppy just pee and pooh on them but place them where u want the puppy to head (the door);) u then scoop puppy up and place them outside.
I have a puppy guide if u think it would help u can PM me your email addy, it covers toilet training and hundreds of other things.:)

hey thanks for replys ive been taking her out straight after nap/food and on the hour she refuses to pee outside but comes in and then pees. was only wanting mats for night time.

i took her straight out this morning and again no pee so hoping my other dog will help.

would mats work for just night? or are they full time thing?
