Puppy weeing in the night

My pup is just over 12 weeks old. When I first got her (at nine weeks) she slept all night from ten thirtyish to about six. This last week or so she has been waking and crying in the night, so I go down and put her out, she does a wee in the garden, straight back into her crate and I go back to bed! No fuss or cuddling, and she goes back to sleep too. Sometimes once a night but sometimes can be up to three times.

I mentioned this to my vet today as she went for her second jab and he thinks she should be going through the night and is only doing it for attention so I should ignore it.

I deliberately don't make any fuss, except to give her a thumbs up for doing a wee, as I would rather she knew I came to let her out if she needs to go rather than leave her to bursting point or having to wee in her crate.

She sleeps downstairs in her crate with another dog in a crate next to her. I don't leave a light on but the logburner gives out a bit of a glow so not pitch black.

What do you guys think?
 
Make it pitch black, it does sound more like a "routine now" she knows how to get you up/make you appear;), I would make sure her last meal is early no later than 6pm and leave a small amount of water. Cover her crate so its pitch black and certainly would not be u more then once with her, it may even be worth randomly coming down to let her out if you are worried at times when she is silent (no noise) so she stops associating noise with you appearing or you could out of interest see what happens if you wait a while and see how long it takes for her to fall silent once again.
 
check what time your feeding her too... personally I always got up in the night to let my pups out I don't expect them to go all through the night without a wee and if they are asking to go then if they do you've only yourself to blame.
 
Vet checked her over and said she is fine - she is weeing normally during the day.

At what age would you expect a pup to go all night?

When she did go all night in the morning she would go out and do two huge pees which surely can't be good for a little bladder?

I have always given her a late feed in the hope that she would sleep better with a full tummy!
 
I get up every 3 hours and stretch it out as they get older they are always in a cage and it is very unlickley for them to wee in there beds !! try putting a rug over the cage at night I wouldn't think the fire has anything to do with it I do think its just getting into a routeen and you should leave her to go through to 6 like before and ignore the cries which is hard I know but she will settle.

I got up to her once in the night last night and she had a wee, then cried again about two hours later so I hardened my heart and ignored it and she winged for about 20 mins and then went back to sleep and wasn't awash with wee in her crate in the morning!

I will try bringing her last feed forward and see how that goes too.
