Puppy

Resident Setter is Finnigan he will be 11 in January and so sweet and tolerant.He has a futon in the office where he has a few hours of quiet time ( puppy free !) morning and evening when he can catch up with his rest but escorts the pup on little ambles in the field 3 times a day and shows him the ropes were to pee and pop etc!!
He is the same blood line as Finn related on his mother's side through his mum's sister he so reminds me of Finn when he was his age.
He sleeps through the night in his crate not a single accident and quiet as a mouse I often find Finn sleeping on the couch next to the crate in the mornings keeping a watchful eye.
As puppies go he is pretty good

They are just beautiful!
Bruno is working bred, so he is quite small and has minimal feather. I love him to bits, but he's not as glam as your lovely boys!

One of the guys who rents a unit on the farm has a tub of treats in his office, just for Bruno (who does the rounds of all the units every morning to say hello to everyone!) He quite regularly reappears with something in his mouth!
 
Beautiful setters ?. I really love the breed having walked one for a neighbour when I was growing up and not allowed a dog of my own. I don’t know how they get the scatty nickname because (in my admittedly limited experience) I’ve found them to be very intelligent.

This made me smile. My childhood dog was Finnegan (a Dana dog, all kinds of everything) and his best mate was the red setter next door, called Rua. Congrats on your new baby, they're both perfect.

Mine definitely read the memo about being scatty! He's as mad as a box of frogs, and has a brain the size of a very small penis
 
I have had 6 setters over the years and none of mine have been particularly scatty just full of beans and like kangaroos!
They need a fair amount of exercise horsey homes seem to suit them well!
All my Setters have loved our horses.I agree you don't se many Setter now I am surprised how many people asked what is the breed when you feel they are one of the most recognisable breeds.
Mind you baby Setters before they get their feather get some strange guesses
 
How beautiful they both are. Always great having an adult showing the kids how it's done and how lovely that your older boy gets puppy free time too.
