I am considering putting my horses onto a beet but undecided which one to go for.

Do I go with Simple Systems and use their Purabeet or Go with Fibrebeet.

Which would you recommend and why

Cheers

Simple System Purabeet is unmollassed sugar beet. Fibrebeet is Alfalfa and Speedibeet (unmollassed quick soak sugar beet). Personally, I feed Simple System as there is nothing added to their feeds, and I find their Purabeet goes a long way, whereas the Fibrebeet is more of a liquid feed. It all depends what else you are feeding your horses.

I used to feed solely simple systems feeds (not the beet though) and give what they recommended for my two horses.

However neither of them floursihed on it and a SS rep told me it doesn't suit all horses.

I now feed Alfa -Oil and Build Up Mix to one and Alfa-Oil with High Fibre nuts, Top Spec Senior Balancer to the other as recommended by DH and Dengie.

I used to feed Speedi Beet years ago but prefer Fibre beet especially as it has Biotin and alfalfa included in it.
Purabeet can be water based as well pending on if you feed it dry or soaked and as I intend to feed it soaked both will be liquid based.

I am tending more towards Fibre Beet at the moment even if it is £2 per bag dearer but would love to hear from people who have tried both and what they thought

Purabeet must be soaked for 12-24 hours before feeding.
