ok so i am not sure if you have gathered from my burbling posts but my horse has sweet itch . we have an open day at my yard on friday (should be fun anyone intrested pm me) but my horse keeps scratching

so he has rubbed his mane and i thought wouldn't it be cool if you could get sew in dreadlocks for your horse .
you could get all sorts of colours lol

i could imagine paddy he would look sooo cool a dreadlock friesian lol.

ooooo maybe this is the way forward.

i also think that jods with a zip just below the knee so they would be like shorts and you just put them togeather when you ride.

lol...I'm not sure about the dreadlocks, but I wear 3/4 length shorts, which I roll up to short length when not riding, and roll down to put 1/2 chaps on when I ride.....I find the combat style best as there are loads of pockets!!!

Re zippered joddies....am embarassed to admit that in a much hotter climate I have been seen wearing shorts, and then throwing over a pair of full leather chaps to ride, and then remove very quickly so's not to overheat. Good look... tee hee

Can't believe there is a site for horsey extensions!!! You can indeed get anything on the t'internet these days!!!!!

On a serious note, I actually collected some hair and got some glue, and did this myself on my mare last year as she had rubbed out the bottom of her mane before a show last year...... so it didn't cost me a penny to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to dressage a few months ago in the winter when B's rug had rubbed off a bit of his mane.

When I was pulling his mane, I saved some bits of hair and plaited it at home and then sewed it into his mane. Got laughed at but it saved him having a massive gap in his plaits & i thought it was quite clever!!

Love the idea of zippered jod shorts, I will def buy a pair!!
