Purina kitten food

My neighbour bulk bought Purina kitten food for her expensive, fancy breed kittens but both have been sick shortly after eating some. This has happened twice now. As they are indoor cats having cat vomit all over the place is not good.

She has given me the opened box for Squeak to try and he had his first pouch this morning. As he is an outdoor barn cat I do not know if he vomits anything up unless he does it in front of me.

Do you think that I should feed him this food regardless, along with his cheap kitten kibble that I have fed from first seeing him as a new kitten? I can have two months supply of food for free if I wish.

Do the other kittens seem okay after having thrown up the food? If yes, then I would probably try feeding it, obviously keeping an eye out for any bad reactions. One of our cats will vomit if he eats certain brands of food.

Both her kittens are fine. They are younger than my kitten as well as they are just 4 months old and Squeak will be 7 months. Squeak has lived on a lot of wildlife as his feral mum is a good hunter.
