And Thrush Mybrother went mental when i used it on his hooves... I didnt know he owned hoofwash... but he did, surely at the end of the day... its a disinfectant and it will do the same job?
I once used turquoise spray on a chestnut horse's forearms when he had scratched himself (nothing much) being an idiot and walking through a plain wire fence.
End result - RSPCA called as I had apparently 'vandalised' the horse by 'spraying graffiti' on him.
I stopped using it as a vet told me years ago it was carcinergenic sp??? This isnt the vet supplied one beginning with a T, sorry had a couple glasses of wine now
The best treatment for thrush is thoroughly washing sole and frog and applying povidine iodine, then stand on concrete to dry soles. Repeat twice daily until better. It is antibacterial and dries the frogs out fantastically. Purple spray from the tack shop is just a pretty colour!! the terramycin spray from the vets is the better alternative but the povidine iodine is still cheaper!
