Purple Spray?

Can be. Make sure you get the decent stuff. Footmaster, which is for footrot in sheep works well. Purple spray for horses, not so great.

Be very careful when you put it on horses feet - you may end up with a little trail of smiley faces all over the yard!

Yep. It's foot master you are after. Not the antiseptic wound spray. Both lovely at staining your fingers and every thing else.

Hoofmaster for anything to do with feet - purple iodine spray from tackshops for small cuts and abrasions on the body.

Watch out though with hoofnaster - not only do you get smiley faces, but purple jodhs and face too if your aim isn't too good. (Yes, he moved, I missed and ended up going to the shops with a purple cheek:o)

I used to use Purple Spray but have converted to a mixture of Tea Tree Oil and water made up in a spray bottle now....one bottle of TT last quite a while, does the same job, not as messy and smells lovely!

Love using TT as i find it so useful as part of a first aid kit for a host of other ailments too!
