I have suddenly developed alot of purple toadflax in my one field that was quite badly flooded last year and was wondering what I can do with it? The horses won't eat it so just wondering what is the best way to dispose of it? Can I use the strimmer and leave it in the field, or am I going to have to use weed killer and dispose of it in a certain way?
Thanks very much.

Purple Toadflax (Linaria purpurea) IS a toxic plant and should be disposed of.
Personally I wouldn't strimmer it as although horses tend not to eat it they may well try if its dried out. Also if its seeding you'll just have more growing.
I generally find it is easy to pull up out the ground (depending on your soil) or failing that weed killer using the safe precautions regarding livestock.

Problem is there is so much it will take absolutely ages to pull it all up!! Don't know where it has come from so unfortunately it may be the weed killer route. Have no ragwort, yet get this plant instead.
